How to Save Instagram Stories — Step by Step

1. Go to the Instagram profile whose Story you want to save.
2. Copy their profile URL (e.g., instagram.com/username) or the direct Story link.
3. Paste the URL into SnapReel above and click Download.
4. SnapReel shows all active Stories — click the download button on each one to save.

Download Instagram Story Highlights

Unlike regular Stories that expire in 24 hours, Highlights are permanently saved on a profile. To download a Highlight, open the Highlight on Instagram, copy the URL from your browser address bar, and paste it into SnapReel. All slides in the Highlight will be extracted.

Instagram Story Download on iPhone and Android

iPhone

Open SnapReel in Safari. After downloading a Story, use the share icon to save photos to your camera roll or videos to the Files app. The Documents app by Readdle offers the easiest iPhone workflow for saving to the camera roll.

Android

Paste the Instagram profile URL in Chrome and tap Download. Photos and videos automatically save to your Downloads folder. Move them to Gallery using your Files app.

Is Downloading Instagram Stories Legal?

For personal use and offline viewing, downloading public Stories is generally acceptable. Always respect the creator's rights — do not re-post, sell, or publicly share downloaded content without permission. SnapReel is a tool for personal archiving and offline viewing only.
